The Historical Museum will be open the following dates in November and December. Free admission on all these dates.

• Saturday, November 26th: 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Visit us before or after the Santa Claus Day Parade. Sip some hot chocolate, take a tour, or make a Christmas joke teller!  Hot chocolate sponsored by Grant Thorton Prince Albert.
• December 21st, 22nd and 23rd (Wednesday to Friday): Includes youth programming!
• December 28th, 29th and 30th (Wednesday to Friday): Museum is open 1-4 pm.

Downtown Walking Tours leave from the Prince Albert Historical Museum, every Thursday and Sunday at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm from June to August. The cost of a walking tour is $2.00 a person. The tours are about one hour in length and are held weather permitting. Tours can also be provided upon request. Phone 306.764.2992 to request a tour.

The Prince Albert Historical Society will be holding their first ever summer camps!
Join us for a "Blast from the Past":

• Half-day camp held from 1:00 pm to 4:30pm
• Cost for the week is $50
• Geared for kids 7 to 12
• Register here. There are two camp sessions: July 18-22 and August 2-5.

For those campers attending the Mann Art Gallery Camp, our staff will walk over to the Gallery, pick up campers at 12:00 pm, then walk to the museum where campers can eat their bagged lunch in the Tea Room.

Would you like to find an aerial photo of your family farm dating back to the 1950's and newer?  Aerial photos of churches, schools, businesses or towns? Plan to visit Homestead Aerial Photo at the Historical Museum:

• Thursday,  July 14th: 10 am to 5 pm

To locate your family farm, bring the land location or show us on the map where the farm is. Our archive library covers all of Saskatchewan, Alberta and Manitoba. We will have photos from Prince Albert on display, but if you would like to see a photo from other areas contact us early and we will ensure to have these photos for viewing also. The PAHS is participating in the 2022 Street Fair.  There will be free entry to the Historical Museum the day of the Street Fair from 9 am to 5 pm.  Check out our new and updated displays on both the first and second floors of the museum.

If you missed Kate Kading's visit on June 6th, you can stop by the Museum from 12 to 4 pm.  Kate is the author of "On Scene", a book based on one of the longest manhunts in Canadian history. The book tells the story of Sergeant Walter Regitnig and his canine partner, Bruce and details their journey to find the man who shot and killed two RCMP officers in 1970, Constable Schrader and Constable Anson.  Copies of the book are available for purchase at the museum.

Kate Kading, author of "On Scene" will be at the Historical Museum Monday, June 6th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. This event will be very informal, with readings by the author, book signing and socializing.
Copies of "On Scene" are available at our Gift Shop. If you already have a copy that you want signed, feel free to bring it.

Plan to participate in the "World Traveler Walk-A-Thon Event" on Saturday, June 11th, 2022, from 9:30am to 11:30am. The Historical Society is the first stop on the walkathon. Come and say "Hi" to our volunteers running the booth.
The Walk-A-Thon features a 5 KM fun, safe, family friendly walk along the East side of the Rotary Trail starting at the Elks Hall Lodge (8th Av E) on the Riverbank. After registering you will receive a Passport Pledge Form. Your pledges and/ or donations help support the Fireworks display during the Multicultural Canada Day. Come travel the world safely, right in your own backyard!
